QRPod privacy policy

QRPod is an iPhone and iPad app from NEQTUS Games. This policy explains how the app handles information, including optional features and services. QRPod does not require a QRPod account. Features available to you can depend on the app version, Pro access and your choices.

Camera, photos and local processing

Camera frames are processed on your device and are not retained. You choose images through Apple’s photo picker. Design images are processed locally and exported without their original photo metadata. Scanned codes, camera frames, contacts and scan history are not sent to advertising or purchase services.

Encryption and compression happen locally. Encryption passphrases are not persistently stored and cannot be recovered by us. Compression does not provide secrecy. App lock uses device authentication; it is not a separate encryption layer over every history record. QRPod does not receive your biometric information.

History and storage

History, generated content, notes, folders, design templates, workflow definitions and pending submissions are stored locally. Automatic history can be disabled. Deleted records remain in Trash until permanently deleted. Workflow credentials are kept in device Keychain storage. The Share Extension temporarily places selected content in the shared app container to hand it to QRPod.

When you enable optional iCloud sync, supported library records and templates are transferred to your private CloudKit database under your Apple account. Apple operates iCloud under its policies. Turning sync off does not delete existing iCloud data. QRPod does not operate a developer-hosted sync backend.

Actions that share information

Opening a link sends a request to its destination, including ordinary network information such as your IP address. If you approve redirect inspection, QRPod requests the redirect destinations. Scanned URLs are not automatically submitted to a third-party reputation service. Local warnings do not certify that a website is safe.

Inventory workflows send the content, fields and authentication you configure to your chosen endpoint. Failed submissions can remain in the local queue and retry under the workflow’s policy. The endpoint operator controls the information it receives. Review destinations and fields before enabling submissions.

Copying places selected content on the clipboard. Exporting, saving to Photos or Files, sharing and handing content to another app make that content available to the selected destination. Contacts, calendar and Wi-Fi actions use Apple’s system interfaces and require your action.

Purchases

Apple processes payments; QRPod does not receive payment-card details. Pro access is verified through Apple’s StoreKit or, in builds configured to use it, RevenueCat. RevenueCat receives purchase history, an anonymous customer identifier and the network and app/store information needed to verify access, restore purchases and provide purchase reporting.

QRPod does not send scanned content, history, contacts, camera frames, inventory credentials or advertising identifiers to RevenueCat. Optional RevenueCat diagnostics and device-identifier collection are disabled. Apple’s optional diagnostic sharing follows your device settings.

Advertising and privacy choices

The free version may show a Google AdMob interstitial after completed code creation. Pro removes ads. Ads do not appear during scanning, on launch, in automation or in the Share Extension. Requests are non-personalized, publisher first-party ID is disabled and QRPod does not request App Tracking Transparency authorization.

Google’s SDK may process IP address (including approximate location inferred from it), device identifiers permitted by the platform, ad interactions, diagnostics and performance information for advertising and measurement. Non-personalized advertising does not mean no information is collected. QRPod never attaches scanned values, URLs, history, camera frames, inventory fields, contacts or location to ad requests. AdMob and RevenueCat identifiers are not linked by QRPod.

Google’s User Messaging Platform checks applicable privacy choices before the advertising SDK starts. If that check cannot complete, QRPod suppresses ads. Where available, revisit Settings → Privacy & data → Advertising privacy choices to change or withdraw consent and exercise applicable opt-out choices. Local frequency records contain creation counts and impression timestamps, not scanned content.

Retention, deletion and your rights

Manage local records in the app; empty Trash for permanent deletion. Manage cloud data through your Apple account’s iCloud storage settings. Uninstalling removes the local app container but does not necessarily erase Keychain credentials, iCloud, purchase records or data already sent to your chosen services.

If you contact support, we use your email address and the information you provide to answer your request. We retain correspondence for as long as needed to resolve it, handle follow-up issues or meet applicable legal obligations. Service providers manage their own retention under their policies.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or obtain your information, restrict or object to processing, withdraw consent, opt out of certain advertising uses, or complain to a data protection authority. Contact us to make a request or ask about a service involved. We may need limited information to verify it. Declining advertising consent does not remove the app’s core scanning functions.

Service providers and changes

Apple, Google, RevenueCat when enabled, and destinations you select process information under their own policies and may operate in other countries. QRPod does not include Firebase, a separate analytics SDK or a developer-hosted scan collection service. We publish changes to this policy here with an updated date.
